- PARKING All Saints Surf City has a parking lot, open during Mass for churchgoers, which fills up quickly. For Surf City Parking Lots, March to October 9am - 6pm, visitors pay to park.
All Saints Catholic Parish is a vibrant parish of faithful disciples who are united in the Eucharist, with a year-round location in Hampstead and a summer ministry in Surf City. Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples.
All Saints in Hampstead offers faith formation for all ages and many outreach, ministry, and fellowship activities. Constantly growing, All Saints broke ground in 2023 for construction of a new sanctuary and discipleship spaces. With its welcoming atmosphere, All Saints invites all to come nurture our faith together and grow with us in relationship to Christ.
All Saints in Surf City is a charming little mission church by the sea. The first Mass was celebrated on August 23, 1953 by Fr. Roland Gross, OFM Conv. The original building was a WWII barracks, now adjacent to the pavilion-style church. All Saints Surf City was formerly called St. Mary Gate of Heaven and has been a “mission church” of St. Joseph in Burgaw, St. Stanislaus in Castle Hayne, and All Saints (formerly St. Jude the Apostle) in Hampstead. It remains an important summer ministry location, where the sacred sound of prayer and music blends with the sound of the ocean just beyond the dunes.

At All Saints, the joyful sounds of children at Mass are evidence of a vibrant parish. While we do not have childcare during Mass at this time, we do have several spaces that make it easier to manage little ones.
The large classroom serves as overflow space for Mass; there are often coloring supplies in a basket up front and children’s books on the library shelves in the hallway. This is a bit more casual of a space and comfortable for anyone concerned about distracting others during Mass.
Seating in the Narthex is often adjacent to open doors, allowing for getting up and down during Mass. Our courtyard space is often accompanied by the sounds from Mass.

First Fridays after Mass we have Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction! Come spend a holy hour with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament where He is truly present, body, blood, soul, and divinity.
Anointing Mass
Hampstead: Wednesday, APRIL 17, at 4PM
Typically held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick gives strength and support and can be administered to anyone struggling with an illness.

Sunday Mass obligation returns to the Diocese of Raleigh
As so many of the faithful gather for Easter Masses, Bishop Luis offers this reminder that the obligation to attend Mass is also an invitation to return to our churches and renew ourselves in receiving God’s love through the Eucharist.
“The doors of our churches are wide open,” said Bishop Luis. “Now let us open our hearts, embracing each other in community and fully embracing the gift of God’s love with an open and joyful heart.”
Beginning Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, Bishop Zarama has lifted the dispensation that has been in place for the Mass obligation for Sundays and Holy Days for the faithful in the Diocese of Raleigh.
It is important to remember, however, that the Church specifies that the elderly, sick, those with pre-existing health conditions or other vulnerable people are always dispensed from this Mass obligation. In some instances, the bishop or pastor may “lift the obligation” among the faithful. This may occur during severe weather, for instance. Most recently, this has been the case during the COVID pandemic.
For centuries, the Catholic Church has had in place an obligation for Catholics to participate in Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. This obligation has never been one of duress, but stems from the crucial importance that Sundays and Holy Days hold as principal moments wherein God engages us to be built up more fully into the Body of Christ. We share in the corporate work of liturgy to become ever more authentic witnesses to the presence of God always at work among us.
