  • Palm Sunday

    March 23-24, 2024

    *NOTE: At all Masses, palms will be distributed to those in attendance. Please limit one palm per person.

    **The 5 PM Mass will begin with the solemn entrance.


  • Holy Thursday

    March 28, 2024

    *NOTES:

    • Before Mass, the tabernacle should be empty; a sufficient amount of bread should be consecreated at Mass for communion today AND tomorrow (Good Friday)
    • Holy Water should be removed from all fonts
    • After the homily, we will have the traditional washing of feet. Twelve (12) people, who represent a cross-section of the parish, should be selected. SEE MAP
    • After communion, a ciborium with hosts for Good Friday is left on the altar. Following the Prayer after Communion, the procession with the Holy Eucharist to the place of reposition takes place. SEE MAP
    • There will be a period of Eucharistic adoration until 10 PM. When the celebration is ended, the altar is stripped and any crosses should be removed from the church.

    NOTES:

    • Today's liturgy begins in silence
    • Today, Churches across the world take up a collection in the name of the Holy Father for use in the Holy Land. (Basket at entrance)
    • After the Solemn Intercessions, we will have the Adoration of the Holy Cross. SEE MAP
    • After the Adoration of the Cross, the presider, accompanied by altar servers, retrieves the Blessed Sacrament and returns to the altar.
    • After the Lord's Prayer, the Distribution of Holy Communion proceeds as usual.
    • Today's liturgy ends in silence
  • Easter Vigil

    March 30th, 2024

    Begins at 8:00 PM

    • Romans 6:3-11
    • Matthew 28:1-10

    NOTES:

    • The Easter Vigil begins with the Blessing of the Fire & Preparation of the Paschal Candle (outside; location TBD)
    • Church lights should be dimmed. They remain dim until the Glory to God is sung.
    • Candles should be distributed to all those in attendance. Please limit one per person.
    • During the Procession, candles should be lit from the Paschal Candle. NOTE: The Paschal Candle leads the way!
    • After the Procession, the Exsultet is proclaimed or sung.
    • After the Exsultet, readings from the Old Testament are proclaimed.
    • During the Glory to God, the lights are raised, and flowers are brought into the church.
    • After the Homily is the Baptismal Liturgy, which includes the Litany of the Saints and Renewal of Baptismal Promises
    • Mass proceeds as normal after the Presentation of the Gifts / Offertory.
