Dear Parish family and friends!
As you are aware, we have embarked on the Living Our Faith, Building to Serve capital campaign to construct a church and expand our facilities to meet the needs of this vibrant parish -- for the present and future.
We are HALFWAY there and we have the momentum! We now have over $1.75 million in gifts and pledges from 146 families. This is a fantastic start. Thanks to all those who have brought us this far. Our goal is $3.5 million and we will need everyone to engage in this effort to make this campaign successful.
Our parish needs to act as one family of faith and support this campaign so we can progress with our church project. Any commitment you make can be fulfilled over a three- to five-year period. Everyone's financial situation is different, please do what is best for you and your family. “Not everyone can make the same size gift, but everyone can make the same size sacrifice.” There is no gift or pledge too small or too big to make an impact.
Prayerfully consider how you can participate in this noble venture. The MOMENT is now. The TIME is now Thank you for all that you do for All Saints! It is the parishioners that make this parish so special. I am humbled to be your pastor! Please continue to pray for the success of this campaign.

Update at start of Capital Campaign:
As you may be aware, in almost 70 years since its founding, All Saints Catholic Church has earned a reputation for being a welcoming parish engaged in spreading the Gospel and practicing Christian outreach to the community. With the grace of God, our parish, that began as a coastal mission, has enormously grown because of the hard work and dedication of people like you. Our parish is expected to continue to grow -- truly a blessing from God.

With such growth comes the need for expanded facilities. Over the last few years, we have engaged in stewardship initiatives (Committed to Christ, Responding as Disciples) that have fortified our offertory to a point where we are able to launch our capital campaign, Living Our Faith, Building to Serve.

The parish and I need your assistance in taking this next critical step. With humility, I am inviting you, as I will invite each parishioner at All Saints, to pray about and determine a pledge that represents a level of giving that is impactful and brings you joy.

This is our moment! Together, let us seize this opportunity to create a welcoming and inspiring place to love and serve our Lord Jesus Christ, for now and the future. May God enable us to pray earnestly and give generously as He guides us in this historic effort.

Kevin and Diane Cavanagh share humor and inspiration while asking each household to participate to whatever capacity they are able:

Joe and Colby Roberts talk about building a spiritual home for their family and future generations and for our community.

Pete and Christine Herrman talk about the importance of building upon the vibrant parish life that we have her to share the ultimate gift of the presence of Christ for future generations.

Estimated Costs of Current Project

Church construction $ 4,446,151
Classroom/meeting space construction $    504,000
Site prep and professional fees $ 1,506,833
Furnishings (including pews) $    500,000

TOTAL $ 7,571,482

Currently (as of August 2021) we have $1.6 million available in the new facilities/church building fund. Additional funding of $3.5 million will be secured from our Living Our Faith, Building to Serve capital campaign, as well as a Diocesan loan that will be based on our ability to repay the loan through projected offertory contributions. So far, we have already invested approximately $200,000 in an initial site plan and schematics, water and sewer hookups, a pump station, and a wetland update to ensure that we are ready to build when given approval. So, we are already making progress!

Three Spiritual Considerations to Guide Your Pledge

  • Gratitude: Be motivated by gratitude to God, making a generous return to the Lord for all the blessings in your life.
And let the peace of Chirst control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful. (Colossians 3:15)
  • Joy: Give freely rather than from a sense of obligation, knowing that God loves a cheerful giver and that true generosity leads to joy.
Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
  • Love: Allow Jesus to fill your heart with his spirit of trust and selfless love for all those served by the Church's ministry and mission.
If I give away everything I own, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:3)

Ways to Give

  • Cash Gifts: This is the most common method of making a pledge. Your gift is tax deductible.
  • Gifts of Securities: A gift of appreciated securities (such as stock) is one way to make a signficcant contribution at a reduced cost to you. Contact: Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh; Attn: Sally Cortina; 7200 Stonehenge Drive; Raleigh, NC  27613; 984-900-3145
  • Bequests: A bequest is a provision in your will to leave a gift to this program. Contact: Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh; Attn: Sally Cortina; 7200 Stonehenge Drive; Raleigh, NC  27613; 984-900-3145
  • Matching Gifts: Please inquire with your company about their ability and willingness to match your personal philanthropy.

Parish Prayer
for All Saints' Living Our Faith, Building to Serve campaign

Loving God, who has made and sustains all things:

We thank you for blessing our All Saints parish family. Called by you to prepare for our future while honoring our past, remind us that our hope is in you alone.

As we seek to grow your kingdome here on earth, guide us to build a church in accord with your will.
Pour out your grace upon us, that we may have minds open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, hearts generous in love and service to our community, and hands firm in commitment to see it through.

Continue to bless and lead us, w pray, so that future generations may find us still growing in faith and charity, united in our Lord Jesus Christ to worship in this holy place;
For it is in His Name we pray,
Amen.
